Short Bio

Beatriz Otero (PhD at UCV 2006; PhD at UPC 2007; MSc at UCV 1999; Computer Science Engineer at UCV 1996) is an Associate Professor and Researcher at the Computer Architecture Department, at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) - BarcelonaTECH. Currently, she is a lecturer of the Computer Basics course at the Barcelona School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSETB) and Graphics Cards course at the Barcelona School of Informatics(FIB). During her research experience, she has co-authored more than 95 publications, many of them in highly ranked journals, and she has participated in several research projects.

Beatriz's current research interests include mathematical models, virtualization technologies, programming models, performance analysis and optimization of the applications into Multi-core and Many-core processor architectures.
