Loránd Jakab received a Dipl. Eng. degree from the Technical
University of Cluj-Napoca,
Romania (UTCN)
in Telecommunication Engineering
in 2004, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of
Catalonia, Spain (UPC/BarcelonaTECH) in 2011.
His research interests include future Internet
architectures (with focus
on the Locator/ID Separation Protocol;
creating LISPmon), mobility,
and network security.
He participated in the Spanish
research project SAM
(Advanced Mobile Services) in 2004, and in
the EuQoS
(End-to-end Quality of Service support over heterogeneous networks)
project in 2005-2006, funded under 6th Framework Programme of
Information
Society Technologies, in the CONTENT
network of excellence, and has been awarded a SATIN research scholarship.
He is now maintainer and one of the lead developers of the LISPmob project, in collaboration with Cisco Systems.
