My name is Julita Corban and I'm a Lecturer teacher at the Computer Science Department at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and I'm currently teaching at the Facultat d'Informatica de Barcelona.

I obtain my B.S. degree in Computer Science in 1994  and the M.S. degree in Computer Science in 1996 both in the at the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona.

From 1996 till 1999 I worked at the European project NANOS with my PhD advisors Xavier Martorell and Jesus Labarta. During the period 1999-2002 I finish my PhD "Coordinated scheduling and Dynamic Performance Analysis in multiprocessor Systems".

In 2001 I start teaching at the Computer Science department mainly in Operating System courses. Currently I teach in "Operating System project" (PROSO)

My research is mainly focused in Runtime systems (OpenMP), job scheduling for high performance computing systems, metabrokering, performance measurements and performance-driven policies.

My current work at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center is focused in the projects HPC-Europa, CoreGRID, XtreemOS, the LaGrid, and the eNANOS internal project.
